New Poker eBooks Released by Phil Hellmuth

I read this week that poker legend Phil Hellmuth has released a new series of ebooks about poker. Entitled Phil Hellmuth’s Legendary Poker Hands, the series apparently consists of five books, each one around 22 pages long and incorporating 15 images of types of hands and the player’s own comments. Each book will cost $2.99 and will be available at selected ebook retailers. Titles are as follows: Phil on Pocket Pairs; Phil Bluffs and Gets Bluffed; Hellmuth vs Chan; Phil’s Great WSOP Hands; Phil Loses Five Hands… and Lives and Learns!  As you can see, they cover much of Hellmuth’s career and the type of hands he came across over the years.

I think these ebooks will make a great buy, not just for yourself but for anybody interested in poker. In fact, now that I think of it, they’ll make a great Christmas gifts as well! Not only are they excellent reads and a must-have for any poker fan out there, but they save me going out to buy a holiday present, wrapping it and sending this. The advantage of ebooks is that that they are simply digital media equivalent of conventional books and are highly convenient to give and receive!

This isn’t the first time that I will be reading books by Hellmuth, who, incidentally, is considered one of the best poker players in the world. He has 11 WSOP bracelets under his belt, has made six final tables of the World Poker Tour and has won over $11 million in tournaments. I’m sure that most players have read, or heard of at least, Hellmuth’s Play Poker Like the Pros which has become a type of bible for amateurs and professionals alike. His other books, Phil Hellmuth’s Texas Hold ’em and Read ’em and Reap (which he c0-penned with an FBI agent) are also available as good reads.

It goes without saying that if you’re serious, like I am, about improving your poker game and strategy through practicing at online poker sites, studying poker hands and following the example of poker greats, then the new ebooks released by Phil Hellmuth are an absolute must.
