Top Restaurant in Las Vegas: Alize

A visit to Las Vegas is not complete without a meal at Alize at the top of the Palms, and I try to make a reservation at this fantastic eatery at least once a year. Created by master chef, Andre Rochat, Alize was opened in 2001 and has constantly been referred to as one of the best places to eat in Las Vegas. Rochat is one of the biggest names in the restaurant world, and is best known around Vegas for his award winning Andres Restaurant, which has accumulated more awards worth mentioning.

Alize is considered the crown jewel of Rochat’s empire and is appropriately located on the very top floor of the Palms Casino Resort, commanding amazing views of the Vegas Strip.  This means that after an evening of gambling at the slot machines and roulette tables, you can head off to Alize to enjoy a meal fit for kings. The world class cuisine offered by Alize means that there is a dish to suit almost every palate, while the service is as impeccable as you would expect from restaurant so famous. Conde Nast Traveler Magazine named Alize one of the best new restaurants in the world, and you can easily see why.

Take a look at some of the examples on the entree menu of Alize to see why I strongly recommend this place:

Imported Dover Sole
Véronique, Grenobloise or Amandine

3lb. Maine Lobster Thermidor
Asparagus, Mushrooms & Hollandaise

Sautéed Chicken Breast Stuffed with Crab
Cauliflower & Ham Croquette, Butternut Squash, Shiitake Mushrooms

Pan Seared Muscovy Duck Breast
Braised Duck, Foie Gras & Black Truffle Terrine, Chorizo Sausage, Quinoa, Chanterelles
Duck Jus

Filet Mignon
Green Peppercorn Crust, Braised Endive, Onion Confit, Roasted Potatoes

12 Oz Australian Wagyu New York Strip
Chamonix Potato, Broccoli Gratin, Smoked Bacon

Now, after you’ve stopped salivating, pick up the phone and make a reservation for Alize the next time you visit Las Vegas!
