Vegas’ La Venetian Not Just About Gambling

One of my favorite spots in Las Vegas is undoubtedly the casino-resort know as La Venetian.  Named Best Luxury Hotel 2009-2010 by Thomas Cook, this four-star beaut offers magnificently lavish suites, some with up to 1,500 feet of glam and comfort that include sunken living rooms, marble bathrooms, and so much more.

Of course, one of the main reasons to  visit La Venetian is for its gaming amenities, which consist of a plush casino, complete with video poker and slot machines and a 112,000 square foot poker room. Add to that the option of mobile gambling through pocketcasino gaming and pocketcasino in running, and you have it made.

But La Venetian is not just about gambling, as many visitors soon realize, and there is lots to see and do at this hotel. Check these out:

Pool Deck

A stunning five acre facility is located on the fourth floor of the hotel, offering three pools, a hot tube, a poolside cafe and a cocktail service. The pool area also offers fully-stocked cabanas that can be booked ahead of time.

Gondola Rides

You didn’t really think that you’d stay at La Venetian and miss out on a gondola ride, did you? Glide down the Grand Canal in an authentic gondola, floating under bridges, past cafes, under balconies and through street scenes that will make you belief you’re really in Venice. Choose an indoor ride or an outdoor ride for an amazing experience.

The Canyon Ranch Spa Club

When you feel like a rest from the hustle and bustle of Vegas, there is no better place to relax than La Venetian’s Canyon Ranch Spa Club. The 134,000 square foot center is considered a leading spa and fitness center and offers visitors a real treat. From services such as consultations with a personal trainer and nutritionist, to the chance to climb a 40 foot climbing wall and a full range of massage services, this is one place you won’t want to miss out on when visiting La Venetian.

Madame Tussauds

Enjoy over 100 realistic wax creations in La Venetian’s Madame Tussaud’s. ‘Marry’ George Clooney in a chapel, party with Hef in the Mansion or  audition for American Idol in front of Simon Cowell.
